WHEN WE VOTE . . .     (Cheri)

I don't usually do pure politics here.

The thing is, given the date, if I've voted "wrong," in (hopefully) a day or two, if you don't like it, you can just tell me I'm loser!

Yesterday and today I drove a canvasser around to talk to people who hadn't voted yet.

Earlier in the day today I went to a small thank-the-workers event that Jill Biden spoke at.  Outside was a selfie-opportunity frame:

Here's the full image from the shirt I was wearing:

There were lots of Secret Service there . . . just four of them here:
I thought this guy was, too, but apparently he was a political staffer; no lapel pin or earpiece.

Lot of press in the small room:

There were only 100 people there, but those of us who are taller let the shorter people move forward, then saw mainly other people's phone screens as a result:

We were at the local DNC headquarters.  More art from the wall here:

And a cute little house that we stopped at while canvassing later:

Bravo!!! You are so special, doing all you could do to help! That event looks like fun to me, and I thought you were a college student, you look so young!
I was working all day, even answering client emails now, but when I go to sleep tonight, I’ll be thankful for what you’ve been doing: All you can do!
Not just « wake me when it’s over, »
since it’s never really over.
Thank you, Cheri! North Carolina needed you!

Thank you so much, Laurie! We have been amazed at how in-the-center-of-it-all we are in the election.

North Carolina is of course a swing state, and the candidates are coming to our own area *so* much. President Trump has even been to Greensboro - about 30 miles away - twice in the last two weeks!

Thank you!

I am so glad that you are working for the Democratic Party.

It is a frightening thought that we might have Trump for president.

Hi Cheri & Mark!

You two are absolutely awesome! I am so thankful to you for ALL that you are doing during this outrageously important election!! I have spent more money donating to Senate candidates anll over the Nation and to Harris-Walz than I’ve spent in any other election EVER. I do not get out and canvas like you are doing, so donating is my route this time. I do, however, open my big mouth a lot and talk with so many people about the importance of voting in this critical election.

I want to let you both know how much it means to me to have you post these images and statements in your newsletter. And I am always so happy to see the things that the two of you are doing. My husband and I hope to do a bit of traveling soon, and you are part of our inspiration.

Thanks again for all that you have shared!

Warmly and with Hope,

Hey Alex, good to hear from you!

Have you noticed that Dem's are laying low this week, apparently all licking our wounds and not going to social media? It's a tough week.

I'm so glad that you're enjoying our blog. I get itchy when we haven't been on the road for a while.

Hoping to head to the Upper Midwest next year for our biggest trip, so there should be a lot of inspiration there. Where are you thinking of going?

Take care, Cheri
