WHAT TO DO WITH AN OVERLOAD?     (Cheri)

I spent the day at Pacific International Quilt Festival Yesterday.

I ended up with 276 pictures, not counting the ones I took just for myself.  What to do?  Start a separate blog?

My conclusion - shared with Mark this morning - is that we simply need to get out and do more, to have more content to intersperse among all of the quilts.  <G>

I saw the girl above with (probably) her grandmother.  It was really her dog that caught my attention:

I'm not sure why I asked if his eyebrow was real, but no, it's not . . . she painted it on.

What a talented charmer.  (And the dog was good at posing, too.)

Saw this laid out beside an embroidery machine for sale:

This vendor's hair caught my attention:

and her outfit was fun, too:

Towards the end of the day yesterday I found the only vintage-items vendor.  In years past there would be many, including vendors with huge piles of immaculately-maintained quilts; this time I didn't even think to search for vintage first.

I had seen her card on a table outside:

Unfortunately I had to get a picture of the front of the card yesterday, as all others had been snapped up on the first day.  Most of the contact information was on the back of the card.  In any case, the vendor is from Carmel Valley, and shows at Pickings in Pacific Grove, among other places.

We had a great time chatting, while I eyeballed everything she had with her.  I told her that I'd lived in Pacific Grove and Monterey for 30 years, and it came to her that she had bought from the pop-up sales that I had in our garage before we moved to North Carolina!  "I drove by your old place the other day and thought about your succulent gardens," she said.

I bought these items, luckily none of which had been mine in the first place:

I enjoyed your blog.

I was looking at the woman's shoes. I would lose patience!

Have a great time!
