"Oh grate," Mark said . . . "another antique shop!" Seriously, I think he enjoyed Uncommon Objects almost as much as I did. Some of these pictures are his. I didn't share pictures of my weirdest finds in my last post, but here are a couple: Who keeps a picture of someone in their casket?? The only new things that I saw in the shop were pieces by a single artist, and these notebooks, which I loved: I of course love architectural salvage. This one is interesting, mostly when you see the back, which shows that it was pulled from some form of construction: I didn't want to spend $65, but I really wanted these bookends: And just a wide variety of old-time products that we loved: Finally, from cigarette packages, but I love these graphics . . . got a couple for myself.

Can you say more about the "heads" that are carved? One says Merle, but looks like Elvis. What are they supposed to be? I laughed when I saw that pic as it is very weird.
