We parked next to this mural - located about 15 miles from our house - for a reason.

I had seen a sign for LIV For Sweets Bakery, and yes, they have exceptionally good baked treats.

I will be doing a blog post on the town of King at a later date.  But we were on a mission, and we ended up in a photographer’s heaven.

This is a picture of a picture of Rick  Landreth, the proprietor of Two Feathers Architectural Antiques.  He is a joy to listen to and talk with.

He has the most interesting collection of antiques and salvage imaginable; for a photographer, pure gold!

I love reflections in windows, and the rest of this post will reflect that (pun intended).  Cheri assures me we will be doing more than one post about Rick's place.

This was a second-story window.  The way the lace is folded back makes me wonder if someone spends time peering out.

The building you see reflected in the background below is one of the structures housing the treasures for sale.

More lace and weathered paint, and a little bit of rust:

A little different; this one is an interior shot:

And the reflection below is of a happy photographer.

Just a bit later I was much sweatier, carrying all of Cheri’s finds to the truck and loading them.

Thank you!

Nice photos!

The first one looks like it is painted on the ground. The part with the buildings and cars. Is it?

The mural is on the side of a building, just down the street from the bakery.

Fabulous! Looks like a photographer's dream as well as an antiquer's. Wonderful photo of you, Mark. You look very happy. I am so enjoying the posts you and Cheri produce. Thank you.

Making the most of being retired and having time to wander and explore!

Thank you for sharing your Summer delights, with the two of you gathering fabrics, antiques, stories and friends wherever you roam!
You're making a difference with these treats, as I'm staying home, but feel free as a bird looking over your shoulder!

You've chosen such a distinctive area for your new home, with chosen favorite spots, never running out of new ones!

Thinking of you,

Laurie
