We started off with the intention of seeing the Art in Bloom exhibit at the North Carolina Museum of Art. We did not have tickets in hand, which turned out to be a problem as the exhibit sells out well in advance. We have it on the schedule for next year . . . We really wanted to see this one and to be able to compare it to the DeYoung Museum show in San Francisco in June. Cheri is planning on attending that exhibit again this year. Since we were at an art exhibit: The building that housed the exhibit had louvered metal plates on its side. This signage caught our attention as we wandered: and across a set of four streets meeting in an odd intersection looked to be something of interest. Luckily you did not need to use these stairs to access the building, but what a building it was: Cheri originally said she would only be inside for a short time. When closing time came she had to leave, but I do not think she was actually ready to go yet. Inside the building were at least three different levels and I have no idea of how many different rooms and areas it contained. I really needed one of these to stay alert during the wait: I was really happy we had been here first so I felt fortified during Cheri's journey through the Pigfish. Great little diner with all the chrome and jukeboxes one could desire.
