The reason we headed to Athens, Ohio was to see a juried exhibit of quilts by members of the international Modern Quilt Guild.

We knew we were going to Athens, Ohio, but heard that nearby Nelsonville has a more Victorian vibe, so we stayed there.  Utilizing the blue-highway system, we arrived in Amesville, Ohio, population about 168 souls, down from a high of around 200.  We traveled to Athens, Ohio primarily to see an exhibit of modern quilts, and I thought that I would lead with that post, but the venue seemed a better introduction.  |
